I had higher expectations...
Dec. 13/2006
I had recently bought this manga from a store expecting a story about two lovers' problems during summer vacation. There hadn't been any reviews at the time, so I only had a brief summary (on amazon) and the pictures here to really go on.
The story delivered just fine, but the art made it difficult for me to read through it. The story was also not what I had expected, but I don't think it was bad. My main problem with the art is her consistent inability to draw arms proportionately. She has some very obvious problems with arm length and often draws the upper and lower arms far too long despite getting the hands right. The top of the head is also a problem area it seems, but the faces are relatively fine. If I could ignore those problems, I think the art is otherwise very good.
I'd recommend this for anyone who likes stories about a romance with its own small problems and funny quirks, but that stands the test of time (well, the summer, anyways) and who doesn't really mind art or who would not be bothered by the few flaws encountered. It is still a good yaoi and has some very sweet parts too. I think there is also an additional story at the end, but I only glanced through it and did not read.
