Excellent series, as usual!

Needless to say, Tateno Makoto's "Hero Heel" is exceptional work. Although I AM getting a little sick of appearances made by picture-perfect girls who stand by the side and watch, oh-so-knowingly, how the two main boys love each other... This series doesn't have so much of that, thankfully enough. It's truly heartbreaking to see how Minami gets rejected again and again by the cold and heartless Sawada, and Tateno-sensei's work leaves you craving for more.
gripping story
Nov. 7/2005
The main character (hero) and his potential love interest (villain) are actors starring in an action movie. The main character begins to fall for his cold, arrogant co-star (the same way an ordinary person yearns for an idol) as the shooting progresses, only to be rebuffed time and again. Volume 1 leaves the story hanging...
Inflicted heroes

A very angsty story about an up-and-coming actor who stars as a hero in a TV show for kids and a famous veteran actor who co-star as a villain in the same show. At first, the two don't seem to get along very well, but the new actor finds himself gradually falling for the cold and stoic older man who tries to scare him off with his sexual preference and seemingly has no interest back... But does he really not care for his co-star who resembles his former love interest at all? And what will become of the young love-torn hero when his love is not requited? The end of vol.1 will leave you wondering and asking for more!
